These photos were taken for the cover of Emma's new single, "Saltlamp", a song which was inspired by an experience they had as a child where their mother took them to the crystal store as a reward for using coping skills and facing their emotions head on during a panic attack. Emma is a harpist, which is the focal instrument of the song, so we featured the harp as well as an actual salt lamp and some other crystals as props. I chose to capture the true lighting given off by the lamp itself in the editing process so as to make the photos more warm and stay on brand with other Space Cowboy Newt projects.
